working with

We worked with LR during their retrofit of 55 Baker Street, bringing the 1950s office building in Portland Stone back to life.

CWD carried out a total window refurbishment returning them to their just installed look and weather resistance. This included changing the window opening mode from top hung open in, to side hung open in along with the supply and fitting of colour coordinated aluminium bespoke blind boxes.

WORK COMPLETED

  • Schueco Iskotherm 74B top hung open in smoke vents and fixed lights
  • Worked from scaffold access
  • Complete refurbishment and paint respray of the existing windows to the rear and both sides of the building.
  • The mode of opening to the 466 windows being retained was changed from from top hung open in, to side hung open in, using new Schueco system designed hardware.
  • The pre-paint preparation included all the usual sanding, masking etc. along with thoroughly removing before and reapplying the silicone seals after the top grade, 10 year warranted respray.
  • We also supplied and fitted new bespoke PPC aluminium louvre/blind boxes to each of the windows along with new double-glazed vision panels to architect choice.
