39 Victoria Street is a 1985 office block originally designed by Covell Matthews Wheatley, refurbished and extended by JRA and Mansell for developer British Land.

Whilst JRA transformed the appearance of the building through new cladding in terracotta and aluminium, CWD provided total and thorough refurbishment to the curtain wall, opening window, and rainscreen panels along with replacement of gaskets and most glazing.

WORK COMPLETED

  • 3,623 rainscreen panels were position referenced and removed from site for preparation and paint respray then returned to site to be refitted to their original positions
  • 16,236 mts of framing prepared and paint resprayed
  • 840 M2 of glass chemically restored
  • 7,246 panel fixing brackets checked, secured/replaced
  • 1,165 bead glazed glass units replaced
  • 68 structurally glazed glass units replaced
  • 11,000 mts of glazing gasket/weather seals were replaced with new
  • 4,660 transom to mullion joints thoroughly cleaned and resealed
  • 1,344 mts of frame to structure sealant was cut away, thoroughly cleaned and replaced with new
  • 405M2 of bomb film removed
  • 121 No. smoke vents overhauled.
